America by Rail 2021 Calendar
Americans have long had a love affair with trains. During the first half of the twentieth century—the golden age of rail travel—passenger trains offered elegant dining services and sleeping quarters, parlor and club cars, and dome cars that allowed unparalleled views of the surrounding countryside. To lure travelers on board, railroads hired accomplished artists to create posters that celebrated the romance of exploring America by rail. The twelve posters reproduced in this calendar feature speeding locomotives and their scenic destinations. Size: 12 x 26 inches, open.
