Brian Sweet: Ireland Boxed Notecards

20 blank notecards (5 each of 4 designs) with envelopes in a decorative box and printed on recycled paper. With the four paintings represented in this notecard collection, English-born Brian Sweet turns his artist’s eye and brush toward Ireland, capturing four nostalgic scenes in gouache on board. His now signature retro style, informed by his background in commercial illustration, employs high contrast, saturated color, and expansive settings to dramatic and idyllic effect. Sweet’s paintings invite viewers to meander the sheep-dotted slopes round the Rock of Cashel or travel alongside the dry stone walls tracing the Gap of Dunloe.
